About our

Baseball Diamonds

Community baseball diamonds are essential hubs for youth activity, providing spaces where young athletes learn and grow through the game.

Exeter Minor Ball operates organized baseball programming in South Huron.

  • Located beside the Crediton Community Centre
  • New baseball diamond and pavilion with accessible washrooms
  • Playground equipment

South Huron Recreation Centre (94 Victoria Street East, Exeter)

  • Includes two softball (slo-pitch) diamonds and the Alvin Willert Field which is a hardball diamond
  • Mini ball diamond built in 2008 that is located behind the horse ring (Exeter Extreme diamond)
  • Children's play equipment located at the Victoria Street entrance

Timbit Ball Park (Located off of McConnell Street, behind Tim Hortons)

  • Ball park is specifically designed for young children

  • Located off Wellington Street (near the intersection of Nelson and Wellington)
  • One hard ball diamond

  • Used and maintained by the Exeter Lawn Bowling Club which was established in 1902

Multipurpose Courts (Pickleball, Tennis)

The multipurpose courts cater to both tennis and pickleball enthusiasts, providing a versatile space for players to enjoy their favorite sports.

Multipurpose Courts (Tennis and Pickleball)

Multipurpose Courts - located at 145 Victoria St East, Exeter (end of Victoria St East in Exeter between Exeter Elementary School and the South Huron High School soccer field)

The courts have two playing areas:

  • Court A (West)
  • Court B (East)

Court Rules

  • Children under 10 years old must be supervised by a guardian over 16 years of age
  • Please pick up all trash and discard in the nearest bin before leaving
  • If conditions render the court unsafe, play must stop immediately. All courts must be vacated if lightening, thunder, or any other element is present which threatens the safety of the participants and or the spectators
  • The Municipality of South Huron assumes no liability for accidents and or injuries and assumes no liability for the loss of or damage to player property

Not Permitted

  • Black sole, cleated or ribbed shoes
  • Fireworks or open flames, including barbeques
  • Bicycles, skateboards, rollerblades or scooters
  • No hockey or any form of play allowed except for tennis and pickleball
  • Alcoholic or glass beverages
  • Smoke free; the use of tobacco, vaping or marijuana products is prohibited
  • No person shall use profanity, threaten, or intimidate another person in a physical or verbal manner

  • Located beside the multipurpose courts at the end of Victoria Street East in Exeter
  • Used to accommodate later games that require lights.

SHDHS Soccer Fields - 92 Gidley St E, Exeter

  • Located beside the Community Soccer fields
  • Used for younger age groups (U3, U4 and U6)

Wagner Field - 210 Wellington Street West, Exeter

  • Located off Nelson Street (near the intersection of Nelson and Carling)
  • This sports park has 6 fields to accommodate U8 to U18
